For those new to the area or just visiting, Miami makes it easy to find the music scene because there are certain areas that are chocked full of clubs. There is the world-famous South Beach for the fashion glamorous, dance crazy, party mix. Favored big clubs are Set, Mansion, and LIV. To chill-out at a low-key bar, try the Raleigh, Standard, Catalina, Betsy, or B-bar. Party in the daytime at one of the poolside bars of the many boutique hotels. It is fun to do some people watching while walking down Washington, Collins, or Ocean Avenue to find an appealing place. Of course, there will soon be plenty of marijuana dispensaries in and around Miami that you can partake in.
Downtown Miami has the up-scale neighborhood of Brickell, which has Mary Brickell Village with so many great restaurants to choose from it is difficult to pick one. For bragging rights with your friends back home, tourists like to visit Tobacco Road (called “the Road” by locals). This bar has the distinction of owning the first liquor license ever issued in Miami. It is a great place for live music featuring R&B, jazz, and blues. For dancing to the newest electronic music, try the massive Club Space.
The art district in Midtown has lots of cool bars and clubs. Live music can be found in the intimate Bardot, relax with a beer at the Wood Tavern, or party like crazy with the art crowd at the Cafeina.
Head over to Coconut Grove to find the college scene. The pedestrian-friendly streets are small and perfect for a stroll while barhopping. There is a rooftop bar on the Mayfair Hotel with an excellent view of the bay or try Monty’s Raw Bar on the waterfront.
Find a favorite or go to a different club every night. Miami is super hot!
