Miami, Florida is again leading the way in housing prices increases, as the city saw more price hikes over the past year than any other major United States city, according to the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Index.
According the report, which was released on March 28th, home prices in Miami were up 13.8% year-over-year at the end of January 2023 and price gains for the composite 20 city index stood at 2.5% for the year.
The only other city that saw double-digit increases was Tampa, at +10.5%, showing just how much the state of Florida has seen a marked increase in cost of living.
Additionally, San Francisco and Seattle saw price declines during the same period, at 7.6% and at 5.1%, respectively.
