Popular and critically acclaimed Peruvian and Nikkei restaurant La Mar by Gastón Acurio will be relocating from their spot at the Mandarin Oriental in the upscale Brickell Key neighborhood after a decade.
The restaurant will be moving to 1451 S. Miami Ave. in Brickell in late 2025 and to prepare for the move, La Mar by Gastón Acurio will be temporarily closed over the upcoming summer and into the fall as well.
While it’s not a far move, around a mile from their current location, it marks a notable move for La Mar by Gastón Acurio.
It comes as the Mandarin Oriental announced it would close the Mandarin Oriental on Brickell Key in May to “make way for a new chapter”, a complete demolition and reconstruction that is expected to be completed by 2030 ushering in a brands new era.
